Nedavno sam odgledala film "The Rum Diary".
The Rum Diary movie, that I saw recently, is making fashion
waves. Amber Heard brings the style element to the 50’s Puerto Rico
through her character, the bohemian Chenault. The red dress she wears
for the sexy and ultimately dangerous dance number in the movie is the
epitome of the sexy retro summer dress evocative of that period.
Considering how hot retro style has been lately- think Mad Men, Pan Am-
we were inspired to do a modern get the look version.
The Rum Diary’s costume designer Colleen
Atwood custom made Heard’s hourglass cocktail dresses for the movie.
Atwood said in this interview , “ Within the parameters of the story (Chenault) she was the only
person who was actually chic. My inspiration for her was this kind of
Irving Penn, mid ’50s feeling of beautiful doyenne, perfectly fitting
clothes and perfectly elegant.”
